NOW STREAMING: Official Trailer for 'BABY: The Melissa Highsmith Story'
ATLANTA, GA — Particle Entertainment and WAVLand are proud to debut the official trailer for BABY: The Melissa Highsmith Story, a definitive new investigative podcast detailing one of the most remarkable missing persons cases in American history.
In 1971, 21-month-old Melissa Highsmith was kidnapped from her home in Fort Worth, Texas by a woman posing as a babysitter. For over half a century, her family never stopped searching. Then, in late 2022, a stunning DNA breakthrough brought an end to the 51-year mystery—but opened the door to a whole new web of questions.
BABY pulls back the curtain on the decades of heartbreak, the relentless pursuit of the truth, and the incredible, emotional reunion that shocked the world. But finding Melissa was only the beginning of the story.
Masterclass in True-Crime Storytelling
The series brings together two of the audio industry’s top storytelling minds. BABY is produced by executive producers Sean Kipe (In the Red Clay, The Truth About Natalie) representing Particle, and Jason Hoch (Three, Cruel Summer) representing WAVLand. Together, Kipe and Hoch bring their signature deep-dive investigative style, exclusive interviews, and cinematic sound design to a narrative that is as heartbreaking as it is inspiring.
"This is a story about the enduring power of a family's love, but it's also a complex puzzle that took five decades to solve," says Sean Kipe. "We are honored to bring listeners inside the real, untold layers of Melissa's journey."
